Accessibility

Our aim is to make the festival as accessible and inclusive as possible for a neurodiverse audience and visitors with visible and non-visible disabilities. We will endeavour to make your visit as safe and comfortable as possible. For example, a BSL sign language interpreter will be available on the day upon request, or special seating arrangements can be provided.

It can be helpful to know what the venue will look like on the day.

All sessions take place in these two bright, airy, and accessible spaces: the Circle Foyer and Barbirolli Room at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.

Special seating arrangements can be provided. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss any requirements you may have and we will liaise with the venue and entire event team to establish how all necessary arrangements can be made.

A public quiet area is available in the Circle Foyer if rest and quiet time is desired.

Please inform the support team (orange lanyards) and/or speakers (blue lanyards) before the session starts if you have any special support needs they should be aware of.

Please inform the support team (orange lanyards) if you require urgent psychological support and this can be provided.

Please note that professional photography and filming of the talks will take place throughout The Manchester Mindfulness Festival. This will be done with the greatest care and respect for the retreat-style ambience and approach to the event. Images might be used by the Organisers to help promote future Manchester Mindfulness Festivals. Please contact the event Organiser if you have any concerns or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.

Public Transport and Hotel Accommodation

With the venue being so central, there are lots of hotel options. The two closest ones are Premier Inn (Lower Mosley Street) and Leonardo (Great Bridgewater Street). Literally metres away from the Bridgewater Hall.

The venue is a 15 to 20-minute walk from Piccadilly railway station or 2 tramstops away (the nearest tram stop is St Peter's Square).

Sustainability

We believe in sustainability. A portion of all ticket sales is donated to OneTreePlanted.org, an environmental charity with a focus on global reforestation. These projects restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for wildlife. So far, we have mindfully planted 200 trees. Thank you for your support!
