Helping educators and young people flourish since 2009

Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) is a charity and international community of mindfulness educators united in our commitment to the wellbeing of the next generation, as well as the adults caring for them.

With a decade’s worth of experience, MISP is the most established provider of mindfulness training and curricula for educational and youth-related settings. Our courses are written by teachers, for teachers and succeed consistently with all types of children and young people, according to both the research evidence and overwhelmingly positive feedback.

THE MINDFULNESS NETWORK

The Mindfulness Network is a registered charity. We serve the mindfulness community and general public through supervision, retreats and training courses delivered both in-person and via our online platform - the Mindfulness Network Community site. The Mindfulness Network Community Friends (MNCF) is an initiative to engage the wider mindfulness community and reach new audiences through donation-based events and opportunities to practice.

Led by a Committee of Volunteers, supported by the Mindfulness Network, we work together to run a programme of events and inspiring content. By developing mindfulness and compassion both internally and through our services, the Mindfulness Network has the intention to reduce/alleviate human suffering, promote well-being and create the conditions in which people, communities and the planet, can flourish. We aim to bring together highly-trained mindfulness-based supervisors, retreat leaders and teacher trainers who all work within Good Practice Standards set out by the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA).

THE MINDFULNESS INITIATIVE

The Mindfulness Initiative provides the secretariat to the Mindfulness All-Party Parliamentary Group. The initiative works with legislators around the world who practice mindfulness and helps them to make trainable capacities of heart and mind serious considerations of public policy. We investigate the benefits, limitations, opportunities and challenges in assessing and implementing mindfulness and compassion training and educate leaders, service-commissioners and the general public based on these findings. THE MINDFULNESS AND CANCER PROJECT

The Mindfulness and Cancer project is designed for people with cancer, and for health and care workers who want to include mindfulness as a resource to support their patients/clients. There are three collections of video, audio and text packages that are all drawn from the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Cancer (MBCT-Ca) program, which has been taught to people with cancer for over 20 years in different parts of the world. Two MBCT-Ca books have been published – one for mindfulness teachers (Bartley, 2012) and one for people with cancer (Bartley, 2017).
